What is USPAP?

Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice

USPAP is the set of standards that governs how real estate appraisals are conducted in the United States. All licensed and certified appraisers must follow these standards. USPAP establishes requirements for appraiser competency, ethics, and the content and format of appraisal reports. The standards are updated every two years and appraisers are required to complete ongoing USPAP education to maintain their license or certification.
